Plagron Hydro A&B is a highly concentrated, premium two-part mineral base nutrient (\(A+B\)) engineered explicitly for the growth and flowering phases of plants grown in hydroponic systems. Formulated for professional and commercial applications, this balanced liquid feed delivers completely chelated, highly bioavailable primary, secondary, and trace elements. It is optimized for inert substrates such as clay pebbles (expanded clay), rockwool, and polyurethane slabs, dissolving completely sediment-free to guarantee problem-free operation in drippers, NFT systems, and run-to-waste systems.

Metric Dilution Rates & Feeding Chart
Plagron Hydro A&B must always be used in equal parts (\(1:1\) ratio). Never mix the concentrated Hydro A and Hydro B bottles directly together in their raw state, as this will cause immediate element lockout and irreversible nutrient precipitation.
The standard application rate maxes out at 1.6 mL per 1 Litre of water for each component:
Phase of Plant Cycle Hydro A Dosage per 1L Hydro B Dosage per 1L Combined Nutrient Strength (EC Guideline)
Early Vegetative Phase 0.8 mL / L 0.8 mL / L Low EC (\(\approx \) 1.0 – 1.2 mS/cm)
Peak Vegetative Phase 1.2 mL / L 1.2 mL / L Medium EC (\(\approx \) 1.3 – 1.6 mS/cm)
Early Flowering Phase 1.4 mL / L 1.4 mL / L High EC (\(\approx \) 1.6 – 1.8 mS/cm)
Peak Flowering Phase 1.6 mL / L 1.6 mL / L Maximum EC (\(\approx \) 1.8 – 2.2 mS/cm)
Late Flush (Final 1-2 Weeks) 0.0 mL / L 0.0 mL / L Plain water / flushing solution

Best Use Practices & Application Steps

1. Exact Order of Operations (Mixing Method)
  1. Fill your clean water reservoir with fresh water (ideally at an ambient temperature.
  2. Shake both Hydro A and Hydro B bottles vigorously before opening to homogenize the minerals.
  3. Calculate your dose, then add the Hydro A concentrate first. Stir the reservoir thoroughly for 1 minute.
  4. Add the Hydro B concentrate next in the exact same volume. Stir vigorously for another minute.
  5. Add any additional additives or bloom boosters (such as Plagron Green Sensation or Power Roots).
  6. Check and adjust the final pH level using a calibrated digital meter. Target 5.5 to 5.8 for optimal hydroponic absorption.
2. Run-to-Waste Drip Systems

Ensure your system triggers enough irrigation events to achieve a 10% to 20% runoff volume daily. This consistent flush prevents toxic mineral salts from crystallizing and building up inside the pore spaces of rockwool slabs or clay pebble containers.
3. Recirculating Systems (NFT, DWC, Flood & Drain)
Change out the entire reservoir solution every 7 to 10 days. Plants in active growth cycles selectively drink water and absorb specific minerals at varying speeds, causing the background pH and EC values to naturally fluctuate over time. Regular reservoir changes keep the nutrient profile perfectly balanced.
